Day: Friday (alternate weeks to PSSA sport)

Time: 12.05pm for K-2 and 12.45pm for 3-6

NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.

At Georges Hall Public School, SRE is delivered to students on Friday’s from 12:05 pm to 12:45pm for K-2, from 12:45 pm to 1:25 pm for 3-4 and from 1:25 pm to 2:05 pm for 5-6.

On enrolment parents/carers will be given a Scripture enrolment form (PDF 36KB) to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to the office, in writing.

The following SRE classes are offered at Georges Hall Public School:

  • Anglican SRE provided by the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.

  • Greek Orthodox SRE is provided by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in activities of their choice.

During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.

You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.
